Part of the Gran Isla Group of hotels, the 3 key Plazamar Apartments are situated around 300 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The apartments are approximately 35km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 500 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Built in 1989, the modern low rise Plazamar complex has a total of 94 self catering apartments and studio flats, which are built over 4 floors, and set amidst spacious sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens overlooking a central pool area. All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a kitchenette with electric cooking rings, fridge, kettle and toaster (microwave also available on request), a combined dining/lounge area with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above, all rooms are also provided with a maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services along with luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services, a games room, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens furnished with loungers and parasols. The Plazamar Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, archery and aerobics as well as evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
