The 3 star Hotel Playas del Rey is situated around 250 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 200 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Built in 1970 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Playas del Rey has a total of 62 guest rooms, including 52 double rooms and a further 10 singles, which are built over 5 floors and set amidst spacious sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, refrigerator and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the Santa Ponsa Bay or a lush pine forest. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, a games room and lounge bar with satellite television. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with sun terraces furnished with loungers and parasols, along with an ornamental garden and rooftop terrace with stunning sea views. The Hotel Playas del Rey also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
