Part of the Protur Group of hotels, the 3 star Aparthotel Palmeras Playa is situated along the central east coast of Majorca in the resort of Sa Coma. The hotel is approximately 65km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 125 metres from both the Sa Coma resort centre with its selection of bars, restaurants and cafes, and the wide sandy resort beach. Built in 1986 and fully refurbished during the winter of 2002, the Aparthotel Palmeras Playa has a total of 236 self catering apartments and studio flats, that are built over 7 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces. All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a kitchenette with toaster and microwave, lounge with additional sofa beds, as well as a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have pool and garden views. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a luggage room, laundry service, public internet terminals, games room, air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering guests a choice of both international and local cuisine, and both lounge and pool bars. The Aparthotel Palmeras Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities featuring pistol shooting, archery, pool games and aerobics as well as evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
