The four star Hotel Caribe Resort is situated in a tropical garden, with a central lake, in the PortAventura resort near Salou, some 600 metres from the theme park and 800 metres from the beach. It is about ten minutes drive from Reus Airport, one hour drive from Barcelona Airport, on the north east coast of Spain. The accommodation, at the Caribe Resort, which is built to represent a Caribbean resort, comprises 503 rooms, in 13 separate low rise buildings, divided between, standard, superior standard and San Juan Club rooms, each having a king size bed or two single beds, a private bathroom with hair dryer. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning/heating, satellite television, a telephone and a safety security box. The superior rooms are larger and have a hydro-massage bath and a shower and the San Juan Club rooms have a personalised reception, exclusive buffet breakfast, a terrace bar, mini bar and internet connection in the room, and room service. The facilities, at the hotel, include a buffet restaurant, grill, Italian and seafood restaurants, a piano bar, laundry service, currency exchange and conference facilities. There is a swimming pool with white sandy beaches, a smaller swimming pool with a Caribbean theme, a children's pool, a solarium, and a wellness centre with gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and massage. A programme of daytime and evening entertainment is provided, including a children's club, and guests can take part in various sports and activities, and have unlimited free entry to the PortAventura theme park. There are clubs, shops, bars and restaurants in Salou.
