The four star La Siesta Hotel (formerly the Occidental Allegro La Siesta Hotel) is situated some 300 metres from the beach in Playa de las Americas, close to shops, bars and restaurants, on the south west coast of Tenerife, about 11 miles from Reina Sofia Airport. The accommodation at the three storey La Siesta Hotel, which was renovated in 2004, comprises 282 rooms, each room having a private bathroom/shower and a terrace or balcony, and being equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, minibar and safety deposit box. The facilities at the hotel include a non smoking restaurant (with smoking area), bar with live entertainment in the evening, a pool bar, two swimming pools (one heated), a children's pool and playground, a large garden, internet access and facilities for the disabled. Visitors can play tennis, volleyball, darts, pool, petanque and table tennis, and there is a miniclub for the children. A full entertainments programme is provided. La Siesta Hotel is also known as the Occidental Allegro La Siesta Hotel.
