The 4 star Vulcano Hotel is situated some 300 metres from the beach, near to shopping and entertainment centres in Playa de las Americas, on the south west coast of Tenerife. It is about 13 kilometres the Reina Sofia Airport. The accommodation in the eight storey Vulcano Hotel comprises 371 rooms, of which 47 have double beds. Each room has a private bathroom/shower and a balcony or terrace and is equipped with air conditioning, piped music, satellite television and a safety deposit box. The facilities at the hotel include a buffet restaurant with show cooking, a pool bar providing snacks and a la carte lunches, two other bars and two swimming pools with shallow sections for children (one pool is heated in the winter). A full programme of entertainment is provided, and visitors can play squash, minigolf, pétanque or table tennis. Tennis courts are available for hire at the sister hotel, Bitacora, across the street.
