The 4 Star Gran Hotel & Apartaments Turquesa Playa was built in 1996 and refurbished and upgraded in 2002 , and is situated some 150 metres from the Playa Jardin beach, about one kilometre from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife. The accommodation, at Turquesa Playa, which is part of the Grupo Gema Hotels, comprises 350 double rooms each having a complete bathroom with hairdryer, a sofa bed and a balcony or terrace, and being equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, direct dial telephone, a minibar and a rental safety deposit box. Rooms are available for disabled guests and for non-smokers. The facilities, at the Hotel, include a buffet restaurant, three themed restaurants, Italian, Argentinean and Tapas, two bars, and an ice-cream bar, a poolside bar, 24 hour reception, 6 lifts, two swimming pools, two children's pools, a terrace solarium with sun beds and parasols, a fitness centre (on Sundays), internet access, a laundry service, a reading room, a shopping area and conference facilities.
